WREKTACULAR '26
On April 11th, hundreds of students and music fans alike made their way to Variety Playhouse for WREK's annual WREKTACULAR Festival!
WREKTACULAR is a labor of love, with planning starting all the way back in October. The festival is completely student-run, including booking, planning, and merch, marketing, and tech! This year, we were lucky to have Atlanta-based indie sensation Lunar Vacation as headliner; with touring acts Shallowater, Full Body 2, and Joyer; and local openers Hubble, Strumbrush, Siichaq, and Nico!.

SOFO Grant Equipment

This past Fall, WREK received a grant of over $9,900 from Georgia Tech's Student Organization Finance Office for brand new live sound equipment. This equipment will help WREK put on better live events, while allowing WREK members to train with industry-standard sound equipment. The check was presented to members of WREK's Exec between innings at the Georgia Tech Baseball game on April 9th. Big thank you once again to GT SOFO and the exec members that put together the grant application.
Dummy Op Graduation
Every semester, our dummy ops complete their training by taking an operator test administered by members of our exec. Once they pass, they become a newly-minted and fully-fledged WREK op able to run our broadcast on their own! To celebrate, our exec holds a Dummy Op Graduation for all the new operators during Georgia Tech's reading day. Congratulations to all of our new Spring '26 operators!
'26 - '27 Exec Board
Every spring, we say goodbye to our WREK seniors (and super seniors; Georgia Tech is hard!) and onboard a brand new exec team.
