Things to keep an eye out for (Daily Digest/GT Calendar)

  • Six Flags Night
    • As a reminder, the Student Center Programs Council's (SCPC) GT Night at Six Flags is this week! If you’re interested, feel free to join them on Friday, Sept. 12 for a night full of rides, thrills, and memories with friends. Free transportation will be provided for students to and from the park. Day-of tickets go on sale on 9/12/2025 at 12:00 AM at Campus Tickets. Please email atlantalife@scpc.gatech.edu if you have any questions or need any accommodations.
  • Josh Johnson
    • As we mentioned last week, Josh Johnson will be at Georgia Tech, giving us two exclusive shows at the Ferst Center for the Arts on Thursday, September 25. Tickets are still on sale now! The cost for GT students is around $10 - $15 for GT while for staff and faculty it is around $30.
  • Poetry@Tech
    • If you love poetry and Georgia Tech, you don’t want miss Poetry@Tech’s upcoming event! In celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, they are hosting an evening of poetry on Thursday, September 25 at the Atlantic Theater in the John Lewis Student Center. The reception begins at 5:15 p.m., followed by the poetry reading at 6 p.m. The event is open to the public—no tickets or reservations required. You’re welcomed to join for a night of poetry, community, and celebration!
  • Career Fair
    • Today was the second, and final, day of the campus wide career fair. Where Georgia Tech students regardless of year and major stand in excruciatingly long lines with the hopes of passing off their resume to a recruiter for a company they wish to work for. There were a couple of new rules for the career fair this year, particularly as it pertained to footwear, which banned high heels and hard soled shoes. Marking the first time that sneakers are indicated as “professional footwear.” To those who attended: we hope that you had at least one positive conversation with a recruiter, and that your lines weren’t too long. If you missed this one? Never fear, there are several upcoming career fairs that you can check out at careerfair.gatech.edu/upcoming-career-fairs/. And feel free to reach out to your major’s specific career counselors to see what else you can do to secure yourself employment in this heinous job market.

In general, if you are curious about more campus activities, check out the Georgia Tech Campus Calendar at calendar.gatech.edu
