WREK to air multimedia event featuring spoken word audio synced with text displayed on your radio receiver
Starting on Sunday night, December 18th and continuing until Wednesday night, December 21st, WREK will be airing an audio series that will simultaneously display related text on your radio receiver or internet streaming player. The events will air at midnight sharp each night and represents a collaboration between local artist Joey Orr and former WREK chief engineer Chris Campbell. Please see our press release and tune in at midnight for this special “live” event!
WREK is proud to announce that we are one of the sponsors for the Fifth Annual Clarkston Surf Fest! Started in 2006 by three friends with various contacts in the business, the Clarkston Surf Fest has become one of Atlanta’s more popular events. Not only do attendees get to enjoy a free outdoor instro-surf concert, but the proceeds from beverage sales go straight to the Clarkston Community Center. Read more about the event here and check out the lineup. The hosts of Longboards and Longhorns will be there as well as other staff members, so join us on Saturday for some great surf music!
Love music? Interested in being on the radio? Come learn more about Georgia Tech’s student-run radio station WREK Atlanta at one of our info sessions! These meetings will explain how our training process works.
The first meeting will be on Tuesday, September 6th at 3:00pm in the Piedmont Room in the Student Center.
The second meeting will be on Wednesday, September 7th at 11:30am in the Pine Room in the Student Center.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and what meeting you plan on attending so we can try to get an idea of how many people are coming. Please note that the meetings are identical and you only have to attend one of them.
Pizza will be served at both sessions, so come on out!
